FEATURED ITEM

The most iconic and influential carp ever caught is 'Clarrisa' caught in 1952 by the legendry Richard (Dick) Walker from the equally legendry Redmire Pool. In the museum we have Dick Walker's original landing net that was used to land Clarrisa, which in doing so changed the carp angling landscape forever.

NEW IN

Big thanks to James Bond who has recently donated a mint condition set of three iconic Abu Cardinal 55 reels, a favourite amongst carp anglers during the 80's.

Welcome to The Carp Society Museum

Dedicated to the preservation of carp angling history

We are proud to present the realisation of a vision that was held dear by Carp Society founder member, Tim Paisley.

Our museum is dedicated to preserving the rich history of carp angling, and it is now a reality for all to enjoy.

Thanks to the generous donations from carp angling enthusiasts, we have amassed a remarkable collection of memorabilia. From books and magazines, original Brian Mills carvings and artwork, to rare documentation like Redmire Pool log books, our museum showcases the evolution of carp angling over the years.

You'll also find vintage fishing tackle, including rods, reels, and landing nets used by historical figures to catch iconic carp.

We are honoured to have received donations from the personal collection of the late Carp Historian, Chris Ball. It is important to us that his legacy lives on, and his contributions are prominently displayed in our museum.

We invite you to explore our exhibits and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of carp angling history. Whether you are a seasoned angler or simply curious about the sport, there is something here for everyone.

Join us in celebrating the heritage of carp angling and discover the stories behind the artifacts that have shaped this beloved pastime.
